Dr. Ross began her medical career in California. She received her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After completing her residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she returned to UCLA for her fellowship in hematology and oncology.

Dr. Ross currently serves as an associate professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She teaches at the college’s Phoenix/Scottsdale campus. She also treats patients at two Mayo Clinic locations in Arizona.

Dr. Ross has board certifications in internal medicine and medical oncology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).

During her career, Dr. Ross has actively contributed to research, including investigating treatments for mesothelioma. Some of her research has focused on recurrent mesothelioma. In other words, patients in the study previously underwent treatment and the cancer returned. She has also been involved in research for advanced-stage mesothelioma.

Dr. Ross specializes in medical oncology with an interest in thoracic cancers. This means she studies and treats cancers impacting the thoracic cavity or the chest area.

Dr. Ross is actively involved in research. She has co-authored and contributed to more than 90 published articles, book chapters and scientific papers. Much of her research has focused on the efficacy of various cancer treatments. In particular, Dr. Ross has studied treatment for lung cancer, esophageal cancer and mesothelioma.

She has collaborated on clinical trials to investigate the efficacy of radiation therapy and combinations of chemotherapy drugs. She has also contributed to investigations for metastasized and recurrent lung cancer. Her research has been published in various peer-reviewed medical journals, including the Journal of Thoracic Oncology.
