Dr. Benjamin Wei is a board-certified and experienced cardiothoracic surgeon practicing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. Currently, he is an associate professor of surgery and program director of cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Wei’s interests include lung and esophageal cancer surgery, such as for pleural mesothelioma, robotic-assisted and video-assisted thoracic surgery. He received his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons.
