Did you mean Mesothelioma?

“Mesothileoma”is a misspelling of the word mesothelioma (“pronounced mez-uh-thee-lee-YOH-muh). Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer affecting approximately 2,500 Americans annually. Caused by asbestos exposure, mesothelioma is always fatal and has no known cure.

Certain individuals – World War II vets, HVAC workers, homebuilders, construction workers and automobile repairmen, for example – are at an increased risk of asbestos exposure, and are therefore more likely to contract an asbestos-related disease. In addition, cases of mesothelioma as a result of secondhand exposure are also on the rise, especially in the UK.

If you worked in an industry where asbestos exposure occurred, it is imperative that you discuss your respiratory health with your doctor. If you experience chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a chronic cough and have been exposed to asbestos in the past, you must undergo diagnostic testing immediately.
