Did you mean Mesothelioma?
“Mesophelioma” is a common misspelling of the word mesothelioma (“pronounced mez-uh-thee-lee-YOH-muh). Contributed to earlier asbestos exposure, mesothelioma is an always-fatal form of cancer that can occur in the lining of the abdomen, heart, or lungs. A diagnosis of pleural mesothelioma (within the lung cavity) is most common.
Like those suffering from other forms of cancer, patients with mesothelioma should ask their doctors for advice on how to eat properly, minimize the stress in their lives and choose the safest types of exercise that may benefit their overall health picture. Pallative treatment options – such as chemo – are available, but there is no known cure, and most mesothelioma sufferers will lose their battle with this disease in less than two years following diagnosis.
