File a lawsuit - The process of filing a lawsuit is accomplished by the attorney for the plaintiff after much gathering of facts and the ultimate determination that a lawsuit is viable and in the best interest of the plaintiff. A complaint is filed according to a specific set of guidelines determined by the jurisdiction in which the lawsuit is being filed.
