  • Dr. Scott Swanson is a surgeon the Mount Sinai Medical Center in the division of thoracic and cardiothoracic surgery. From Amherst he enrolled in Harvard Medical School in Boston, receiving his medical degree in 1985. He completed his internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and residency programs in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, likewise at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Additionally, Dr. Swanson has, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, completed residencies in cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery.

    Dr. Swanson’s primary interests are lung cancer, video-assisted thoracic surgery, lung transplantation, esophageal surgery, and thoracic oncology.
