Philippe Chahinian M.D.

Dr. Chahinian is currently serving as an oncologist at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City within The Derald H. Ruttenberg Treatment Center. He also teaches at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
A specialist in Internal Medicine and Oncology, Dr. Chahinian focuses on treating mesothelioma cancer and conducts clinical research on lung cancer, thymoma and general internal medicine. A graduate of the Paris School of Medicine in France, (1969) Dr. Chahinian completed a fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital (1976).
In addition to his ongoing research in the field of oncology, Dr. Chahinian has co-authored and written several books and also edits medical texts. In 2002, he co-edited Mesothelioma along with Dr. Bruce W.S. Robinson and also co-wrote a book entitled Lung Cancer (1976). An accomplished public speaker, Dr. Chahinian often travels around the globe to deliver lectures and was a moderator at the Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium, held in New York City (2008).
