There are always instances in a person's lifetime that brings them stress. From home to work, there are many opportunities for individuals to feel stressed out and unable to handle everything at once. Different people react differently to certain circumstances which may cause stress. There is also good and bad stress. Good stress allows things to get done and a person to become motivated. Bad stress can inhibit negatively on a person's life and could lead to other life changing disabilities such as depression or anxiety. Uncontrollable stress can be caused from the following factors: family history, lack of social support, medical illness and most frequently, financial problems. When a person becomes stressed, there are often symptoms that the patient or those around them might notice. Feelings of anxiety, nervousness, excessive worry and irritability are the most common for people who suffer with any type of stress.

Most stress that a person experiences is short lived and can be cured by simply relaxing, staying healthy and getting a good nights rest. Some individuals develop chronic stress and require treatment and medications to alleviate the condition. Fortunately, there are different types of help for those who experience stress in their life. Counseling is one of the best ways to get rid of stress and be able to share your feelings and concerns with others. Even just having conversations with good friends may help the situation. If it doesn't, counseling centers or a physician may be able to recommend other ways of lowering stress levels. Alternative methods include yoga, massage, exercise and activities that may help with relaxation. When in doubt, always contact a medical professional. Some patients benefit from using medication in conjunction with the previously mentioned methods. The sooner the patient receives help for managing stress, the sooner they will feel better. There are a number of resources that can be a great guide to diagnosing any type of condition that may be responsible for the stress and what steps to take in order to be feeling more like your usual self.
